Health Care Job Staffmed Registered practical nurse in Ottawa

Title: Staffmed Registered practical nurse (ON) (RPN)  

Terms of Employment: Casual, Part Time, On Call, Shift, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening

Salary: $24.00 Hourly for 20 hours per week, Bonus

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Ottawa West, East Downtown, Ontario (5 vacancies ) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure by the appropriate province or territory of work, First Aid Certificate


Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Area of Specialization: Geriatrics, Float


Registered Nursing Assistant Specific Skills: Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Distribute medication to patients, Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, Assist registered nurses with various medical procedures


Additional Skills: Monitor patients' progress and report any changes


Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail


Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Continuous learning
